Bringing Insurance Education into Financial Literacy Classrooms
Financial literacy helps students make informed decisions about their financial future. An important part of that understanding is insurance — how it helps individuals manage risk and protect their financial wellbeing.
To help educators introduce these concepts in the classroom, Insuring Ohio Futures partnered with Invest, a national leader in insurance education, to curate a selection of short lessons from Invest’s existing curriculum.
These lessons provide a simple way to introduce the basics and importance of insurance as part of a financial literacy course.
How It Works
- These resources are free for Ohio educators.
- The lessons are hosted in an online learning platform and can be assigned for students to complete independently or viewed together in class.
- Supplemental materials are also available to support discussion.
