High School CISR Program
The Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) High School Program introduces students to the fundamentals of insurance while building the service, communication, and technical skills needed for success in the insurance industry. Recognized by the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce as an Industry-Recognized Credential, the program is worth 3 credential points in the Business, Marketing, and Finance career field for the 2026–2027 school year.
Designed specifically for high school classrooms, the virtual curriculum can be integrated into existing business and career-focused courses and is complemented by opportunities for industry speakers, workplace experiences, and other career-connected learning.
The CISR High School Program requires an annual school license. Schools are encouraged to explore the program and contact the Ohio Insurance Institute at info@ohioinsurance.org to discuss whether the credential is a good fit for their classroom, learn about available industry support, and identify opportunities to connect students with insurance professionals and career experiences.
